The longest March on record seems to finally be over today: the temperature has soared and the sun is shining here in Chestertown, MD! Spring may very well be the time when the grounds at the Brampton are the prettiest. The flowering trees are showing off: the red buds, dogwoods and lilacs are all in bloom.
If you enjoy gardens and historic architecture then you may be interested in a tour coming up on May 14th, sponsored by the Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage, a non-profit organization formed in 1930. It includes nine properties in Chestertown, and all are within walking distance of each other, and of course, only a mile or so from our Maryland bed and breakfast!
