The temperature isn’t the only thing that’s hot at the end of July in Chestertown MD: it’s the prices at Crazy Days: the best sidewalk sale ever, held in the historic district of town on July 26-28, 2012. The merchants set up outside their shops, and prices are slashed to move inventory and make room for the fall. The events page on Chestertown.com refers to this as “not your average sidewalk sale” and that is the truth. The town gives us free parking, there’s stuff for kids like face painting, and even a hot dog eating contest.
