Samsung (in collaboration with Good Lock Labs) has now brought out the latest 3.0.10.1 version for its Good Lock app. Notably, the newly released version has a refreshed design for its users.

Good Lock – Version 3.0.10.1 Now Available

As per what has been shared (via @tarunvats), the software suite/app on Samsung Galaxy devices that lets users customize the user interface with the help of many tools and features – Good Lock has received a new version update. The latest 3.0.10.1 version is now available for download, and this version brings a refreshed design when compared to the previous version.

In related news, Samsung early this month itself had officially revealed the features that will be offered in the next Good Lock update for One UI 7, and in the meantime also pointed to its global support and Play Store availability as well. A total of 15 Good Lock apps were said to receive new versions, starting with MultiStar, and a few days back the NotiStar v7.0.15.0 was also released.

Samsung is soon going to conduct the first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, tomorrow on the 22nd of January 2025. Many of its new products are believed to have their debut at this upcoming event. This includes the four new Galaxy S25 series flagship smartphones, the latest One UI 7 official version based on the Android 15 operating system, larger ’14’ and ’15’ size variants for the Galaxy Ring, and more as per recent updates.

Various users on the X platform have shown their excitement related to this new addition in the comment section of the official post.

It was previously reported that Samsung would be making 15 Good Lock apps available in the One UI 7 beta software itself, and from the end of last month onwards in December 2024, 7 apps which includes the LockStar, NavStar, NotiStar, QuickStar, MultiStar, Clockface, and Home Up were said to become open to users one after the other with MultiStar as the first feature to be made available.

Now, the NotiStar v7.0.15.0 has been made available to users, with some fixes and optimizations, and most importantly, with the One UI 7 custom skin support. Here’s more about it.

As is already known, NotiStar is a notification management service for Samsung’s Galaxy devices and its latest version with a firmware version of ‘v7.0.15.0’ is now currently available to users. Notably, it gets the support for One UI 7, and comes with the notification duplication issue fix, layout problems optimization, app notification storage capability in work profiles, and more.

Gemini App New Design Now Available to Users

This new updated design language might have reached many users on their smartphone devices already and when compared to the previous one, there are quite a few changes in it. Notably, from the small centrally-aligned pill-shaped module which consisted of the ‘keyboard’, ‘mic’, and ‘camera’ icons for different functions, along with the circular ‘Gemini AI Assistant’ button, the new design brings a rectangular-shaped unit (with rounded corners) on to the platform with an attachment icon that can help in uploading images directly via the Gallery app or by capturing it and uploading through the Camera app. ‘Ask Gemini’ has also been brought inside the rectangular unit, where users can type in what they want to ask. Towards the right, the ‘mic’ and ‘Gemini AI Assistant’ icons have also been added. Furthermore, a greeting ‘Hello, (user’s name)’ has also been added to the app interface.

As mentioned, many users have reportedly already found the new design change on the Gemini app, while a few are still yet to receive it. Most probably, it will be rolled out to more and will reach everyone soon. Stay tuned.

Users of the new platform will be able to buy high quality and best canteen type of food, and it will be delivered to them hot and good, that too in just 10 minutes, as per what Albinder Dhindsa has claimed for the company.

Speaking more, in attempts to make the venture acceptable among consumers, the brand has partnered with a number of innovative companies in the food industry, and has invested a lot on infrastructure and R&D. It aims to create and offer tasty dishes, made in 5 minutes or less, at the same time without the use of any preservatives or food processors during preparation. Moreover, these dishes also won’t be microwaved nor will they be processed food. On clicking on the fix facts option, your post will remain as it is while if you go to the personality you will many options like 1920s gangster, caveman, cockney, influencer, and more, if you click on any of the given options, your post will be enhanced via Grok based on your preference.

Samsung Electronics introduced Samsung Vision AI at CES 2025’s First Look event, alongside new TV and display products. The announcement includes AI-powered features across their Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, and The Frame product lines.

“Samsung sees TVs not as one-directional devices for passive consumption but as interactive, intelligent partners that adapt to your needs,” said SW Yong, President and Head of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “With Samsung Vision AI, we’re reimagining what screens can do, connecting entertainment, personalization, and lifestyle solutions into one seamless experience to simplify your life.”

Samsung Vision AI includes:

• Click to Search: Provides information about on-screen content
• Live Translate: Offers real-time subtitle translations using on-device AI
• Generative Wallpaper: Creates custom screen backgrounds
• Home Insights: Delivers household environment updates and safety alerts via SmartThings
• Pet and Family Care: Monitors household members and adjusts room settings

The Neo QLED 8K QN990F, running on the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor, features:

• 8K AI Upscaling Pro
• Auto HDR Remastering Pro
• Adaptive Sound Pro
• Color Booster Pro
• AI Mode for picture and sound optimization

The company introduced The Frame Pro with Neo QLED technology and Wireless One Connect. The Samsung Art Store now contains over 3,000 works from partners including MoMA and the estates of Magritte and Basquiat, available across Neo QLED and QLED models.

Samsung partnered with Art Basel, making The Frame their official art display. “As our mission is to power the world of art, having Samsung as our official global display partner is helping us break down physical and digital barriers, allowing more people to experience art in innovative and meaningful ways,” said Hayley Romer, Chief Growth Officer at Art Basel.

Other product announcements include The Premiere 5, a triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector with touch features and LightWARP technology, and the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror developed with Amorepacific.

Samsung announced partnerships with Microsoft to bring Copilot services to their Smart TVs and Smart Monitors, with plans to work with Google and other AI companies to expand Vision AI features. The company received a 2025 CES Innovation Award for Click to Search, Live Translate, the AI companion Ballie, and the Smart Monitor M9 with Copilot.

Samsung, the South Korean smartphone and other consumer electronics manufacturer, introduced its Camera Sharing feature with One UI 6.1, providing users the capability to connect their Galaxy phone’s camera to a Galaxy tablet and use it as a webcam. This feature enabled users to make video calls, attend meetings or conferences, and even take recordings at best camera quality, along with other tools that can enhance the user experience.

The new Camera Share feature for Galaxy Book laptops that is coming with the brand’s latest One UI 7 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system is now in action, revealing how it looks in appearance and suggesting the other tools and features that can be accessed.

Camera Share on One UI 7

As can be seen below, similar to most Samsung applications on Windows, the Camera Share feature or app has a very simple user interface, with the turn on/off toggle button, available devices, and Samsung account details. Users in order to make use of the feature should enable Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Camera Share on both the Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Book laptop, and must sign-in with the same Samsung account on both the devices.

Speaking more, the Camera Share feature is expected to work with any apps or any programs that supports webcam and camera functionality, however, it has to be noted that reports point out that there are noticeable camera flickers regardless of how good the ambient lighting is, suggesting that this feature is still in the stage of work-in progress, and has to receive a few more necessary upgrades.

Also, apart from simply using the smartphone camera, tools like background blur, face enhancements, auto framing, and HDR will let users to make the Camera Share quality even better, as per their requirements.

About the One UI 7 custom skin, as already known, the beta program for the Galaxy S24 series smartphones is currently live, whereas the official stable version release is expected to take place this month on the 22nd of January 2025 with the next Galaxy S25 series smartphones at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.

Good Lock Update Features for One UI 7

Samsung has now revealed the features of the next Good Lock update for One UI 7, and this includes the features of the most anticipated Home Up as well, which will be integrated with the One UI Home. Users will be receiving the option to adjust animation at will, in a more convenient manner with the Home Up features.

Speaking more, 15 Good Lock apps are suggested to be made available in the One UI 7 beta software itself, and 7 apps, which includes LockStar, NavStar, NotiStar, QuickStar, MultiStar, Clockface, as well as Home Up are going to be open starting from the end of last month in December 2024 onwards, with MultiStar as the first feature to be available. These latter 7 apps or features that are closely connected with the system are said to be carefully updated, obviously to improve user experience and deliver the best functionality.

However, Home Up and LockStar may be taking a little longer to arrive as it consists of many more features and structural changes, and are currently in the process of internal testing. But with the One UI 7 official stable version release itself, best efforts are being taken to make these available too simultaneously.

About Home Up, it is one among the most changed apps of this time with many new and diverse features. Enhanced Home Up accessibility, free home item placement, home screen stickers, gesture animation tuning and multi-finger gestures, and hide favorites are some of the revealed functions.

Notably, many users have been waiting for the global availability of Good Lock as in a few regions it hasn’t been available yet, and moreover with Google Play Store listing, at least a few who prefer to download and update apps via Play Store rather than from Galaxy Store might enjoy some convenience too.

Regarding the One UI 7 official stable version release, it is probably going to be introduced with the brand’s Galaxy S25 series flagships at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, likely on the 22nd of January 2025. As of now, the beta program is live for Galaxy S24 series users in a few global markets with the beta 3 update coming soon.
