ResutersAsia released a tweet on its account stating that “Google refused Hong Kong request over protest anthem – HK official” and shared the link to read the complete news.

According to the reports, The city’s security head today stated that he is been greatly disappointed by Google’s refusal to modify its search results so that users searching for the national anthem of China would see that music rather than a protest song.

On searching for the national anthem of China the google search engine showed the song “Glory to Hong Kong”. This song was composed in 2019 at the time when protests in Hong Kong broke out against China’s increasing authority over the city.

In 2020, the song was banned when China passed a broad national security law on the financial center to penalize what Beijing described as secession and terrorism. It issued a penalty of up to lifetime jail.

The Asia Rugby Association attributed the mistake to “a simple human error” in which the incorrect hymn was played in place of music that was obtained from the internet. “Glory to Hong Kong” is the most popular search keyword for Hong Kong’s national anthem on Google and it has been considered the national anthem of the country by many of the protesters at the time of British Colony.

Since Musk acquired Twitter, a series of events has shaken it from the core. Users are expressing their anger and disbelief on Twitter but this time the US senator has sent a letter to Twitter to express his anger. The letter was written in the name of Twitter by US senator Edward J Markey.  In this letter, he mentioned that a Washington Post reporter created a fake Twitter account by his name.

That name even got a blue tick for $8 dollar which was authorized as a verified user with that name. He also mentioned the possible problems that can arise because of it. Any other person with a spare phone and a credit card can change their account name with a blue tick. He wants musk to ensure that Twitter doesn’t become the breeding ground for manipulation and deceit.

At the end of the letter, there were four questions that he asked Elon Musk. Since Twitter has been taken by Musk there was only public anger and response but now it seems to have entered a legal room.  Twitter may face some of the biggest ever problems or its major chunk of users in the upcoming days.

Below you can find a copy of the letter:

Chinese Global Times' editor threatened Elon Musk

Recently, Elon Musk has stepped into the China-Taiwan tensions for yet another time. Musk suggested that Taiwan should become a special administrative zone of China in an interview with The Financial Times. He also added that the governments of China, as well as Taiwan, could possibly get into a reasonably palatable arrangement.

This led to sparks between the Chinese and Taiwanese counterparts. The Chinese ambassador to the United States of America supported and agreed with what Musk had expressed. Whereas, the Taiwanese counterpart argued that freedom is not for sale. Taiwan is an independent country. Although, it is not recognized by several other countries. Even the United States of America does not have any official ties with Taiwan. Taiwan believes in its sovereignty and its Constitution.

Musk also suggested that China and Taiwan could work out a similar arrangement to the one with Hong Kong. The Chinese ambassador came up with the idea of One Country, Two Systems amongst this. However, Taiwan refuses to be governed by China as the tiny nation is a self-governed one. Additionally, Taiwan also has its own constitution. The Foreign Minister of Taiwan, Mr. Joseph Wu, condemned China’s constant military drills around Taiwan. Taiwan and China have always had tense relations and a solid solution is a must to end this rivalry and conflict altogether.

Earlier, Elon Musk had also commented on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and their strained ties. His statements have been condemned by many. Whereas, he has also gained support and praise from many.

Vincent H Pala, the Meghalaya Indian National Congress president and member of Lok Sabha from Shillong demanded that the Meghalaya Regulation Gaming Act 2021 should be repealed on Saturday. This has come after similar demands were made from all quarters.

Moreover, there are two Lok Sabha in Meghalaya, one of which is held by Congress.

A detailed discussion was held by the Meghalaya assembly in the recent concluded assembly session, regarding the gaming law itself. According to James K Sangma, minister in charge of taxation, the physical gaming premises were not meant for the general public but majorly for the upper value individuals.

As per reported by the Shillong Times, Pala said, “The government has to withdraw (the Act) otherwise the coalition will be in the street and the public will be in the Assembly one day.”

He then further added, “Almost every society, church, and organisation are opposed to it. The government is in a hurry to pass, and the chief minister very enthusiastically said that I am the leader of the gambling committee.”

Furthermore, he questioned, “If they are not getting revenue from all the resources, what revenue will they generate from gambling? Have they put it in the public domain or given any blueprint?” He remarked, “I don’t think the people will allow it and if the public is not happy, what revenue will they generate.”

Afterwards Pala said the opposition to the decision concerning legalised gambling was always present and that this issue was not the first time.

Did PM Modi Clicked the Cheetah pictures with camera lens cover on

While Prime Minister Modi was celebrating his birthday by introducing cheetah in India his critics were busy using photoshop. Yes, you read it right actually Prime Minister was capturing a photograph from his Nikon camera. This photo of PM Modi capturing the cheetah picture got viral.

Nearly eight decades after the last cheetah was hunted to extinction in India, its African cousins have arrived to reclaim the throne. It is extremely rare for an extinct species in one part of the world to be populated by a large population from another—especially an apex predator.

Cheetahs brought from Namibia are being introduced in India as part of Project Cheetah, the world’s first inter-continental large wild carnivore translocation project. On Saturday morning, PM Narendra Modi released eight cheetahs to the enclosures inside Kuno National Park in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh by rotating a lever. Today is also Prime Minister Modi’s birthday.

Here is what Social Media has to say

Brijesh one of the Twitter user wrote.

“congress supporters and leaders are defaming Modi.

They are doing photoshop for Modi & uploading it on social media.

Congress supporters always work like Pappu. They don’t know how to do photoshop.

In this photo, Modi is holding the Nikon camera. & edited with canon lens cover”.

Our Fact Check Analysis

Because his critics edited the photo and covered the lens of the camera with a Canon company cap. Those who could not understand the motive of that photoshopped pic shared it multiple times on different social media apps. We needed strong evidence to find and our team found the trace of photoshop and marked it as fake news.

Narendra Damodardas Modi  born 17 September 1950 is an Indian politician who has been the country’s 14th and current Prime Minister since 2014. Modi served as Gujarat’s chief minister from 2001 to 2014 and is a Member of Parliament from Varanasi. He is a supporter of the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu nationalist paramilitary volunteer organisation. He is the first prime minister born after India’s independence in 1947, as well as the longest-serving prime minister from a party other than the Indian National Congress.

Modi was born and raised in Vadnagar, Gujarat, and completed his secondary education there. He was introduced to the RSS when he was eight years old. He has mentioned having to work as a child in his father’s tea stall at the Vadnagar railway station, though this has not been confirmed.

Modi married Jashodaben Chimanlal Modi at the age of 18, but divorced shortly after. He publicly acknowledged her as his wife for the first time more than four decades later, when required by Indian law, but has had no contact with her since. Modi has claimed that he spent two years travelling in northern India after leaving his parental home, visiting a number of religious centres, but few details about his travels have emerged. When he returned to Gujarat in 1971, he joined the RSS full-time. Modi went into hiding after Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency in 1975.

He was assigned to the BJP by the RSS in 1985, and he held various positions within the party hierarchy until 2001, eventually rising to the rank of general secretary.

Following the earthquake in Bhuj, Modi was appointed Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001 due to Keshubhai Patel’s failing health and poor public image. Modi was quickly elected to the legislative assembly. His administration has been accused of being complicit in the 2002 Gujarat riots, which killed 1044 people, three-quarters of whom were Muslims, or has been chastised for its handling of the crisis. The Supreme Court of India appointed a Special Investigation Team, which found no evidence to initiate prosecution proceedings against Modi personally.

While his policies as chief minister were praised for encouraging economic growth, his administration was chastised for failing to significantly improve the state’s health, poverty, and education indices.

Modi led the BJP in the 2014 general election, which gave the party a majority in India’s lower house of parliament, the Lok Sabha, for the first time since 1984. Modi’s government has attempted to increase foreign direct investment in the Indian economy while cutting spending on healthcare and social welfare programmes. Modi has attempted to improve bureaucracy efficiency by abolishing the Planning Commission and centralising power.

He launched a high-profile sanitation campaign, controversially began demonetisation of high-denomination banknotes and a taxation regime transformation, and weakened or repealed environmental and labour laws. He oversaw the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which killed an estimated 4.7 million Indians, according to the World Health Organization.  Throughout his tenure, Modi has received consistently high approval ratings.

India has experienced democratic backsliding during Modi’s tenure.

Following his party’s victory in the 2019 general election, his administration revoked Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, introduced the Citizenship Amendment Act, and three contentious farm laws, which sparked widespread protests and sit-ins across the country, resulting in the latter’s formal repeal.

Modi has been described as engineering a political realignment towards right-wing politics, and his handling of the 2002 Gujarat riots has been cited as evidence of an exclusionary social agenda both domestically and internationally.

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan was heavily trolled on Instagram, because of what he said while addressing the public of the country.

Recently, Imran Khan uploaded a video on his social media where he was addressing the Pakistani group of people and he said something which became a matter of huge laughter for the whole world.

Khan, while comparing prices of the Wheat Flour quoted the measurements in “litres” , instead of “kilograms”. He said, ” Earlier flour was sold at a price of 50 Rs./Kg, however, under the Karachi regime, the flour was being sold at Rs.100/litre”. As soon as the public noticed this in the video, they could not stop themselves from doing nothing but just trolling him for his words.

Often, people in Pakistan are noticed doing many such action which demeans them for no good reason. Infact, Imran Khan himself has been a part of too much trolling by both Pakistani as well as the Indian public. And now, his statement of measuring “Aatta” (as spoken in the video) in litres is again questioning his IQ as well as Pakistani public’s past decision of choosing him as their prime minister.

There are imposters seen around misusing the DC’S credentials for the purpose of fraud. Therefore, the DC requested people to not accept any kind of texts or messages from his side, socially and do not start forwarding any kind of money asked.

Mr. K.V noticed that there were certain suspicious activities that were performed by a phone number 8590710748. The phone number was asking for money, using whatsapp randomly in the public, impersonating the Dakshina Kannada DC.

It was also seen that they are using his image as the display picture and had his name on their profile. As of now, the Comissioner said to avoid, block or report such an account. Meanwhile they are still searching over for the culprit and catch him red handed.

According to the Anonymous Operations post, a petition has been signed by municipal officials from 18 districts in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the neighboring town of Kolpino claiming that Vladimir Putin’s actions are “harming Russia’s future and its citizens” and demanding him to resign from the post of President.

A legislator from St. Petersburg’s Semyonovsky municipal district named Ksenia Tortstrem tweeted on September 12 that she was still collecting signatures for the petition and that just under 20 lawmakers had already done so.

Since Putin invaded Ukraine without warning in late February, cracks have appeared in his tight grip on dissidents, especially after Ukraine declared success in the battle to retake Russian territory in the country’s northeast.

Last week, a text was submitted to the State Duma, the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, demanding that Putin be punished with high treason since his decision to launch a conflict with Ukraine jeopardized the security of Russia and its people. Legislators from the Smolny municipal district in Putin’s home city of St. Petersburg gave their approval to the text.

The MPs were later summoned by the police on charges of disparaging the country’s military forces.

Invoking the need for a change in leadership, MPs in Moscow’s Lomonosov Municipal Territory condemned and demanded Putin’s resignation last week.

To dominate the narrative surrounding the conflict in Ukraine, which began in late February, the Kremlin approved a law in early March that calls for severe prison sentences for publishing “deliberately false information” regarding Russian military activity.

Additionally, anyone who advocates for sanctions against Russia risks a three-year prison sentence for “making arguments against the use of Russian armed force to defend Russia’s interests” or “for discrediting such use.”
