The South Korean consumer electronics maker, Samsung, will be conducting its Galaxy Unpacked event today on the 22nd of January 2025, and many of its latest products are going to be unveiled at the grand ceremony. Among the much-awaited products is the next Galaxy S25 series flagship models and just a few hours ahead of their global launch, the live images of three new devices of the series have been revealed online.

Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra – Revealed Live Images

Unlike previous years, at this year’s first Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung is believed to unveil four new Galaxy S25 series models for its consumers and it is the live images of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones that have been revealed.

We have already come across the design images of all these three models in the past, and the live images align with it. We can spot key design aspects such as the flat display/rear/side panels, thin symmetrical bezels, centrally-aligned punch-hole selfie camera, Galaxy Z Fold 6-like camera rings, and rounded corners even for the Galaxy S25 Ultra model too.

It also seems that the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ models are featured in the ‘Silver Shadow’ color, whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra can be seen possibly in the Titanium Black and Titanium Gray colors. The Galaxy S25 smartphone Blue color variant has also been shared, along with the packaging boxes of the three devices.

Speaking more, apart from the above mentioned models, there is also a Galaxy S25 Slim device too that will be introduced along with the other smartphone models.

This update (received via Tecnoblog) has firstly pointed to a key design change in the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra device, and deviating from the prevalent 90° corner design that we have seen since the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, it is revealed to feature round corners this time. Notably, this was already suggested in the Galaxy Unpacked teasers as well, and moreover, the Galaxy Z Fold 6-like camera rings are also likely going to be there as per the new leak. Additionally, again, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ models are also revealed to feature the same.

Furthermore, two features of the Galaxy S25 series have also been shared – Now Brief and Gemini integration in YouTube, Samsung Notes, and maybe more apps. With Now Brief, Samsung Galaxy S25 series users will be provided with summaries of weather, health, and appointments, at different times of the day. Google Gemini integration is also expected to be an important feature, with the capability of accessing and controlling other apps like YouTube, Samsung Notes, and maybe more.

Now coming to the revealed specs, the Galaxy S25 Plus smartphone is revealed to sport a triple rear camera unit with a 12MP ultra-wide camera, 50MP main camera (with 2x optical zoom), and 10MP telephoto camera (with 3x optical zoom), along with a 12MP selfie camera. It is also revealed to pack a 4900 mAh battery too. About the Galaxy S25 Ultra, a 50MP (ultra-wide) + 200MP (main, 2x optical zoom) + 50MP (telephoto, 5x optical zoom & 10x optical quality zoom) + 10MP (telephoto, 3x optical zoom) quad camera system and a 12MP front-facing camera are revealed to be present. A slightly larger 5000 mAh battery is also going to be backed within the device as per the leaked poster.

Samsung Galaxy S25 – Likely to be Made Available From 12GB/256GB Storage Option

This time, Samsung is expected to unveil four new smartphone devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event unlike before – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Galaxy S25 Slim, and it has already been reported that the series would possibly offer 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 12GB/1TB storage options, along with an exclusive 12GB/128GB storage option only for the Galaxy S25 device.

Based on the new update, it has been pointed out via a Vietnamese retail website (pre-booking page) that the 12GB/128GB storage option is likely for the West and in Asia, the standard Galaxy S25 device is going to start at 12GB/256GB storage option itself, just like the other models. Moreover, the recent report about the Galaxy S25 series storage options and color choices that would be offered to Indian customers further reaffirms this.

Speaking more, Samsung would be conducting its Galaxy Unpacked event on the 22nd of January 2025, and in India, the deliveries and sale for the latest flagships are believed take place around 3rd February 2025 and by 9th February 2025, respectively. Just to add, apart from the 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB storage options in India for the Galaxy S25, it is said that Blue Black, Silver Shadow, Pink Gold, Coral Red, Mint, and Navy/Ice Blue color choices might also be made available for the device.

This update which has been shared by an X tipster (@ishanagarwal24) has revealed that following the pre-orders of the Galaxy S25 series, in the Indian market, the deliveries will start around the 3rd of February 2025, and the sales by 9th of February 2025. Moreover, the internal storage variants and color choices of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models have also been shared by the same tipster.

As per his post, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to be offered in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options. Titanium Gray, Titanium Black, Titanium Silver Blue, Titanium Pink Gold, Titanium White Silver, Titanium Jade Green, and Titanium Jet Black are believed to be its color choices that would be made available. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ devices are suggested to come in 256GB and  512GB internal storage options, and likely be offered in Blue Black, Silver Shadow, Pink Gold, Coral Red, Mint, and Navy or Ice Blue colors.

To add, apart from the mentioned three models, a Galaxy S25 Slim model is also expected to be introduced this time, however, its sale is probably not going to take place with the other three models as per what has been reported. Moreover, the tipster who has shared the above update has also commented that some of the colorways may be online exclusives too, just like before.

The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of January 2025, this month. As per the update shared by the tipster (@chunvn8888) on the X platform, Samsung is expected to launch its Galaxy S25 series models with the Android 15 based ‘One UI 7.0’ custom skin version and not with the ‘One UI 7.1’ version. Moreover, the tipster adds that for one or two months following the launch, the One UI 7.0 is said to run on the devices, before anything is shared publicly regarding the ‘One UI 7.1’ version.

Speaking more, Samsung has scheduled its Galaxy Unpacked event for this month itself as expected, and it will be held on the 22nd of January 2025. Also, unlike previous years, four Galaxy S25 series models are believed to break their cover at the event – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Galaxy S25 Slim. The official stable version of the One UI 7 custom skin is also releasing with the latest Galaxy S-series smartphones.

The South Korean smartphone maker, Samsung, is believed to unveil its latest flagship Galaxy S25 series devices this month globally and following all the past updates and reports, the standard Galaxy S25 smartphone has now again made it to the Geekbench database revealing key performance specs. In related news, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s recent Geekbench test scores reveals a higher performance on the device.

Galaxy S25 – Geekbench Listing

The Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphone bearing the model number – ‘SM-S931B’ has appeared on the Geekbench database, attaining single-core and multi-core performance scores of 2986 points and 9355 points respectively. This is the 12GB RAM variant of the device and notably it uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with a primary clock speed of 4.47 GHz, as well as the Android 15 operating system (with likely the One UI 7 custom skin on top).

This suggests that the Galaxy S25 model for international markets like India, European countries, and more, would also likely be using the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip itself. Around the mid-half of last month, this device with a similar model number (SM-S931B/DS) also received the NBTC certification too. [The Galaxy S25 ‘SM-S9310’ model is also certified by the 3C authority, while the Galaxy S25 ‘SM-S931N’ model was listed previously on Geekbench with lower scores.]

Galaxy S25 Ultra – New Geekbench Scores

Coming to the Galaxy S25 Ultra new Geekbench scores, previously this device carrying model numbers – ‘SM-S9380’ and ‘SM-S938B’ was spotted on the Geekbench database. However, the new Geekbench listing of the ‘SM-S9380’ model reveals higher performance scores of 3049 points and 9793 points respectively on the single-core and multi-core tests.

With the ‘SM-S9380’ model number, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was also earlier certified by the 3C authority of China. The ‘SM-S938U’ model of the Galaxy S25 Ultra (US variant) was spotted on the Camera FV 5 database, whereas the ‘SM-S938B/DS’ model was listed on Thailand’s NBTC and India’s BIS certification platforms.

As mentioned, via the Gadgetshieldz listing of the skins, wraps, and screen protectors for Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series, the design of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models have again been revealed. [Do note that the Galaxy S25 Slim is not listed on Gadgetshieldz too].

Notably, we are able to spot the Galaxy Z Fold 6-like camera rings again on these Galaxy S25 series models, along with the flat display with thinner bezels and a centrally-aligned punch-hole front-facing camera. Also, the volume rocker and power button are on the right side panel. Antenna lines can also be spotted on the sides.

Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra – Color Choices in India

In the India market, as per what has been reported, the Galaxy S25 Plus is expected to be offered in Dark Blue, Gold, Black, Red, and Silver colors. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may be made available in Absolute Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Silver, and Titanium colors.

As mentioned, for those who are awaiting the debut of the next Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models can start purchasing their smartphone skins as they have been listed on the dbrand website. [But it should be noted that the skins for the Galaxy S25 Slim model, which is also tipped to be announced with the other Galaxy S25 series models next month, have not been listed on dbrand.] While nothing in particular has been revealed about the specs and features, notably one thing can be spotted.

Previous reports had pointed out that the Galaxy S25 Ultra device would feature Galaxy Z Fold 6-like camera rings at the rear. However, based on the dbrand listed Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus images, both the vanilla and plus models too, apart from the ultra model, would also possibly feature similar rear camera rings.

Speaking more, other than the three mentioned Galaxy S25 series models, the series is reportedly also going to be accompanied by a Galaxy S25 Slim model and also by a Galaxy S25 FE model in 2025. While the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE is tipped to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip, the Galaxy S25 Slim is believed to feature a thin and light-weight body, with stronger camera specs.

While we have already come across a lot of updates concerning the three upcoming smartphone models, new updates have revealed that they may support Qi2 wireless charging (without magnets) and likely feature a ‘capture button’ (suggested by Galaxy S25+ real life image).

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series – Qi2 Wireless Charging Support

Via the FCC certification listing of the European versions itself, the Galaxy S25 series smartphones that are expected to launch next month were pointed out to support wireless charging and tipster Ice Universe suggested that it is Qi2 wireless charging. However, the Qi2 wireless charging profile wasn’t revealed then.

As you may know, there are two profiles for Qi2 wireless charging – EPP(Extended Power Profile) and MPP(Magnetic Power Profile), and a tipster on the X platform (@chunvn8888) has tipped that the soon-to-be-unveiled Galaxy S25 series trio would possibly support EPP Qi2 profile with no magnets. He also suggests that wireless charging speed of up to 25W can also be expected.

So this means, users of the Galaxy S25 series may have to use the first party cases from the brand itself with a Qi2 magnet ring to be able to stick the respective device on to the charger if needed, similar to how latest OPPO and OnePlus smartphones use magnetic cases. [Do note that the HMD Skyline is the first Android phone (and likely the only Android phone as of now) to support MPP Qi2 wireless charging.]

Samsung Galaxy S25+ Real Life Images

Now coming to the Galaxy S25+ real life images that have been revealed online (via Jukanlosreve), it is still not sure whether this is the final product or testing product, but it do align with the live image that was shared previously. Design aspects like the flat display with quite thin bezels, flat rear, flat side panels, vertically-placed individual rear camera units with circular rings (unlike the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s), single LED flashlight, and volume rocker and power button on the right side can be spotted.

What is interesting to note is that, below the volume rocker and the power button on the right side panel, one can also find what seems to be a ‘capture button’ as well. This could mean that the upcoming Galaxy S25 series may feature a capture button too like Apple’s iPhone 16 series models.

This update comes from an X tipster (@sondesix) who has revealed that Samsung would likely be conducting its Galaxy Unpacked first event of next year on the 22nd of January 2025. He notes that San Jose, California will probably be the venue for the grand event and it will begin at 10:00 AM PT (11: 30 PM IST).

As we are already aware, it is at the first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year that Samsung always unveils its latest flagship smartphone series and this time too, it is believed to be the same. The Galaxy S25 series launch is expected, and smartphone models such as the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are said to be debuted. [Under the series, the Galaxy S25 Slim and Galaxy S25 FE models are also suggested to launch at later dates.]

To add, the brand has already begun the One UI 7 based on Android 15 beta program, whereas the One UI 7 official version is expected to be released with the Galaxy S25 series as per previous reports.

Apart from the Galaxy S25 series and One UI 7 official version, the brand’s ‘Project Moohan’ XR headset is also pointed out to be unveiled at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. It is reported to feature a light-weight and ergonomically designed body with the latest best displays, pass-through capabilities, and natural multi-modal input systems.
