Next month in February 2025, the tech world is said to witness the debut of a lot of new smartphone devices and now, a reliable tipster on the Weibo platform has tipped the possible upcoming devices.

New Phones Said to Debut in February 2025

This update comes from the tipster – Digital Chat Station who in his Weibo post notes that five new smartphone models are confirmed to break their cover next month in February 2025. This includes Xiaomi’s 15 Ultra iterative camera flagship, OPPO’s Find N5 book-like or horizontally-folding flagship, Realme’s Neo 7 SE device, Huawei’s Pocket 3 clamshell foldable, as well as an undisclosed Snapdragon 8 Elite mid-range performance phone. These new devices will be unveiled in the Chinese market following the Chinese New Year or Spring Festival of this year (29th January 2025).

Speaking more, both the Snapdragon 8 Elite (7-core)-powered Find N5 and Dimensity 8400 Ultra-powered Realme Neo 7 SE devices are officially confirmed to launch next month in China, while previous reports also suggest that the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also probably launch in the same month itself. The previous Huawei Pocket 2 smartphone was launched in February 2024 and considering this, its successor – the Huawei Pocket 3 is also being expected to launch in the same time frame this year – in February (or maybe March) 2025 as per previous updates.

Regarding the undisclosed Snapdragon 8 Elite mid-range performance phone, the tech world has two guesses, it could either be the Realme GT 7 or Honor GT Pro. Both these smartphones are believed to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip itself, and the Realme GT 7 was also recently tipped to launch next month in February 2025. However, the Honor GT Pro launch was earlier reported to be in Q2 2025.

Realme has released the 15.0.0.181 update for the Realme GT 7 Pro in the China region. This update improves the stability of the TikTok app and fixes a low-probability screen flickering issue in certain games.

In addition, camera performance has been enhanced. The update optimises the brightness transition issue in time-lapse photography mode and addresses an abnormal synthesis issue in the preset fireworks scene. However, some users who have already received the update claim that it does not bring significant changes.

Just recently, Realme pushed the 15.0.0.420 update for Realme GT 5 Pro users in the China region. Now, it is releasing the same update for other Realme GT Neo 5 series smartphones in the China region. Although the update version(15.0.0.420) is the same, the earlier update for the GT 5 Pro had a different changelog compared to the one being pushed now. The update is being rolled out for the Realme GT Neo 5, GT Neo 5 240W, and GT Neo 5 SE models. While the rollout has just been announced, some users have already received it. As of writing this article, no issues have been reported with this update.

The Photo Album now supports encryption for added privacy, new filter options for easier navigation, and a date display feature to streamline photo searches. In the Weather app, users can access 15-day rainfall probabilities, city rankings for air quality, and improved desktop cards with refined layouts. Other notable features include a sleek ethereal fingerprint style, migration support for iOS Live Photos, new creative photo filters, enhanced tools like “File Recommendation” and a revamped Mobile Manager with remote services. Additionally, the new Watermark Master empowers users to personalise photos with custom watermarks.

The Chinese smartphone maker, Realme, is reportedly going to soon unveil three of its latest P3-series devices in the Indian market and now, the Realme ‘RMX5070’ device has made it to the Eurofins and Camera FV 5 databases. This Realme device is expected to be the standard Realme P3 5G, and its storage options and color choices have also been revealed online.

On the Eurofins certification platform, the alleged Realme P3 5G device bearing the model number – ‘RMX5070’ has been listed with the certificate number – ‘DE-6-T2500049’, and is suggested to pack a 5860 mAh battery backup. Moreover, the device has been tested with 10W, 20W, and 40W charging speeds. Via the listing, certain country codes have been mentioned, pointing out that this device could also launch in a few other global markets as well (like Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the United States).

Coming to the Camera FV 5 listing, at the rear, the smartphone is revealed to sport a 50MP main camera (12.6MP x 4 = 50.4MP with pixel binning), and a front facing camera of 16MP (4MP x 4 = 16MP with pixel binning).

Speaking more, the Realme P3 5G is also reported to arrive in three storage options of 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, & 8GB/256GB and three color choices of Nebula Pink, Comet Grey, & Space Silver, (received via 91mobiles). Additionally, this device is tipped to have been certified by the TKDN authority as well, revealing its possible launch in the Indonesian market.

Apart from the Realme P3 5G, the Realme P3 series is also said to include the Realme P3 Pro (RMX5032) and Realme P3 Ultra (RMX5030) models. The former is likely going to come in a 12GB/256GB storage option, whereas the latter along with the same storage option may also have a glossy finish too. While the Realme P3 Pro is reported to launch in the third week of February 2025, the Realme P3 Ultra could launch at the end of this month in January 2025.

A few days after its TENAA listing, Realme’s upcoming ‘RMX5090’ device, which is allegedly believed to be the Realme GT 7 model, has made it to the 3C certification platform of China. Via its listing, the wired fast charging support of the device has also been revealed.

The Realme ‘RMX5090’ smartphone has been certified by the 3C authority of China with the certificate number – ‘2025011606749943’, with certification validity till the 27th of November 2027. It has been listed as a ‘5G digital mobile phone’, along with a power adapter carrying the model number – ‘VCBOACH’. This reveals the device to support 120W wired fast charging (11 x 11 = 121W), just like the already-launched Realme GT 7 Pro device. [Also to add, the Realme GT 7 Pro also appeared on the 3C database previously with this same charging adapter.]

Apart from the TENAA and recent 3C certifications, this Realme smartphone has also been spotted on the MIIT database too. Via these listings and other reports, the key specs and render images of the Realme ‘RMX5090’ – the alleged Realme GT 7 smartphone have also been revealed.

Speaking of its revealed/expected specs, it may come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, feature a 6.78″ AMOLED display screen with 2780 x 1264 pixels resolution (8T LTPO quad-curved display), sport 50MP + 8MP dual rear camera system and 16MP selfie camera, and pack a 6310 mAh rated battery (6500 mAh typical battery) with the mentioned 120W wired fast charge support. Other possible specs include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader, face recognition, infrared sensor, Bluetooth & USB connectivity, 8.55 mm thickness, and 218 gm weight. Additionally, 8GB/12GB/16GB/24GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB storage may also be offered for the device.

Design-wise, the device looks similar to be Realme GT 7 Pro device, notably with lesser weight, no periscope telephoto lens, and a ring LED light instead of the dual tone LED flashlight.

The Realme 14 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Energy 5G chip, and it runs on the Android 15 based Realme UI 6.0. The device also has a 6000 VC mm² cooling area, and is coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It is available in two storage options – 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.

The Xiaomi ‘25010PN30G’ is revealed to be the brand’s next iterative camera flagship – the Xiaomi 15 Ultra (global model), and the device has also been categorized as a ‘Mobile Phone’. It has been certified with the certificate number – ‘107019/SDPPI/2025’ and listed with the PLG ID – ‘10047’.

The Infinix device that has been listed on the SDPPI database with model number – ‘XE32’ is suggested to be the Infinix XBuds 3 NC. It has received the certification with the certificate number – ‘107018/SDPPI/2025’ and PLG ID – ‘14739’.

Speaking more, the global model of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has previously been spotted on the EEC and IMEI databases, whereas the Chinese variant has appeared on the 3C and MIIT databases. Moreover, the Indian variant has also received the certification from the BIS authority. The schematic, internal design, and render images of this flagship have already been revealed, whereas the launch is tipped to take place in February 2025, next month.
