Next month in February 2025, the tech world is said to witness the debut of a lot of new smartphone devices and now, a reliable tipster on the Weibo platform has tipped the possible upcoming devices.

New Phones Said to Debut in February 2025

This update comes from the tipster – Digital Chat Station who in his Weibo post notes that five new smartphone models are confirmed to break their cover next month in February 2025. This includes Xiaomi’s 15 Ultra iterative camera flagship, OPPO’s Find N5 book-like or horizontally-folding flagship, Realme’s Neo 7 SE device, Huawei’s Pocket 3 clamshell foldable, as well as an undisclosed Snapdragon 8 Elite mid-range performance phone. These new devices will be unveiled in the Chinese market following the Chinese New Year or Spring Festival of this year (29th January 2025).

Speaking more, both the Snapdragon 8 Elite (7-core)-powered Find N5 and Dimensity 8400 Ultra-powered Realme Neo 7 SE devices are officially confirmed to launch next month in China, while previous reports also suggest that the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also probably launch in the same month itself. The previous Huawei Pocket 2 smartphone was launched in February 2024 and considering this, its successor – the Huawei Pocket 3 is also being expected to launch in the same time frame this year – in February (or maybe March) 2025 as per previous updates.

Regarding the undisclosed Snapdragon 8 Elite mid-range performance phone, the tech world has two guesses, it could either be the Realme GT 7 or Honor GT Pro. Both these smartphones are believed to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip itself, and the Realme GT 7 was also recently tipped to launch next month in February 2025. However, the Honor GT Pro launch was earlier reported to be in Q2 2025.

Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme Neo 7 SE smartphone will launch in the Chinese market next month. Recently this upcoming smartphone was also said to be spotted on TENAA and MIIT certifications with model number RMX5080.

This same model number has now made its appearance on the 3C certification website which reveals that the smartphone could support 80W fast charging.

This device is tipped to be backed by a 7000 mAh battery and arrives with MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra SoC. As per reports, this upcoming device can basically be regarded as Realme Neo 7 launched in China, with a new chipset.

Another Realme device with model number RMX5090 which is alleged to be Realme GT 7 was also spotted on TENAA, MIIT, and 3C certification websites. The device was revealed to support 120W fast charging. According to tipster Experience More, Realme  GT 7 will be backed by a 6500 mAh battery while the device is said to be exactly the same as that Realme GT 7 Pro including appearance, the only difference being that Realme GT 7 will arrive without a periscope telephoto lens. Though the fingerprint is questionable.

It is also tipped that Realme GT 7 will also be released next month only. Realme GT 7 is said to be priced lower than OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, taking the title of cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite device while Realme Neo 7 SE is said to take the title of cheapest Dimensity 8400 device. Also when a user in the comment section asked when the device would be online, the tipster mentioned that it could be at the end of February.

New Realme smartphones bearing model numbers – ‘RMX5071’, ‘RMX5075’, and ‘RMX5080’ have now made it to China’s TENAA and MIIT certification platforms. Via the listings, the render images and a few details of these upcoming smartphones have been revealed.

Realme ‘RMX5071’ – TENAA and MIIT Certifications

The Realme ‘RMX5071′ smartphone has been certified by the TENAA and MIIT authorities with certificate number/license number of ’02-D545-250070’, and it has been categorized as a ‘5G Digital Mobile Phone’.

Via the TENAA database, key specs such as an octa-core 2.3 GHz processor, 6GB/8GB/12GB/16GB RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB storage, Android OS, 6.67″ OLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and 16.7 million color depth, 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera unit, 16MP selfie camera, 5860 mAh rated battery, 2G/3G/4G/5G network connectivity, Bluetooth, USB, under-display fingerprint reader, 163.15 x 75.65 x 7.97 mm dimension, and 194 gm weight have been revealed.

About the MIIT revealed design renders, the device seemingly has a flat rear panel and display, along with flat side panels. The rear panel features a rectangular-shaped camera module with rounded corners, housing two camera sensors and a dual tone LED flash. Also, the volume rocker and power button are on the right side panel. The display has a centrally-aligned punch-hole selfie camera. 5G cross-network roaming function and eMBB technology are further specs revealed via the MIIT database.

Realme ‘RMX5075’ – TENAA Certification

The Realme ‘RMX5075′ device has received the TENAA certification with the certificate number – ’02-D545-250057’. It has been listed as a ‘5G digital mobile phone’, and few key specs have been revealed.

This upcoming smartphone is suggested to offer specs like an octa-core 2.3 GHz processor, 6GB/8GB/12GB/16GB RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB storage, Android operating system, 6.67″ OLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and 16.7 million colors, 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera unit, 16MP selfie camera, 5860 mAh rated battery, 2G/3G/4G/5G network connectivity, Bluetooth, USB, under-display fingerprint reader, 163.15 x 75.65 x 7.97 mm dimension, and 194 gm weight.

Moreover, on the MIIT platform, this device has the same images as the ‘RMX5071’ model, and considering that these two Realme models have similar specs too, they may be part of the same series (assuming).

Realme ‘RMX5080’ (Alleged Realme Neo 7 SE) – TENAA and MIIT Certifications

Realme’s ‘RMX5080′ smartphone is believed to be the alleged Realme Neo 7 SE device, and it has received both the TENAA and MIIT certifications with certificate number/license number of ’02-D545-250069’. On the two certification platforms, this upcoming Realme smartphone has been listed as a ‘5G Digital Mobile Phone’.

Few of the key specs revealed via the TENAA database are the Android operating system, 6850 mAh rated battery, three camera sensors (dual rear cameras and single selfie camera), 2G/3G/4G/5G network connectivity, Bluetooth, USB, and infrared sensor.

Speaking more, its design render images have been revealed via the MIIT database, featuring a flat rear panel with curved sides, seemingly flat display, and flat side panels with rounded corners. At the rear, there is a rectangular shaped rear camera module, housing two camera sensors and an LED flashlight. The right side panel also occupies the volume rocker and power button.

Also to add, Realme has already teased its Neo 7 SE smartphone officially in the Chinese market, with the launch set in February 2025, next month. MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip and 7000 mAh (typical) battery are tipped specs.

The Realme Neo 7 SE smartphone has been teased as a device with stronger performance and longer battery life. It will be using the same MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip that is to power Xiaomi’s Redmi Turbo 4 smartphone too, and is revealed to have its debut next month in February 2025, in the brand’s home market in China.

As per what has been shared, the tipster notes that apart from the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip, the device is also believed to pack a 7000 mAh massive battery, just like the already unveiled Neo 7 model, and it would possibly feature greater heat dissipation and aggressive performance release capability. Additionally, the upcoming device is also pointed out to be tuned by Chuang Ge.

MediaTek kicked off the morning with the announcement of its latest chipset powerhouse – the Dimensity 8400. Shortly after, Realme stirred excitement on its official Weibo account by teasing an upcoming smartphone launch. The teaser shared by Realme showcases a design schematic highlighting the new Dimensity 8400 SoC.

Though Realme kept the device’s name under wraps, reliable tipster DCS stepped in with the reveal. According to DCS, the upcoming device will be branded as the Realme Neo 7 SE, joining the lineup alongside its recently launched sibling, the Realme Neo 7 (China).

MediaTek’s press release confirms that a phone with the Dimensity 8400 will launch by the end of this year. At the same time, Redmi is preparing to launch its Turbo 4 with the Dimensity 8400 Ultra variant.

The competition is now between Realme and Redmi. Redmi has started taking reservations for the Turbo 4 in China, planning to launch it in January 2025. Realme has only teased their phone so far, and we’re waiting to see which brand will be the first to release a Dimensity 8400 phone.
