Next month in February 2025, the tech world is said to witness the debut of a lot of new smartphone devices and now, a reliable tipster on the Weibo platform has tipped the possible upcoming devices.

Here’s more about the latest update.

New Phones Said to Debut in February 2025

This update comes from the tipster – Digital Chat Station who in his Weibo post notes that five new smartphone models are confirmed to break their cover next month in February 2025. This includes Xiaomi’s 15 Ultra iterative camera flagship, OPPO’s Find N5 book-like or horizontally-folding flagship, Realme’s Neo 7 SE device, Huawei’s Pocket 3 clamshell foldable, as well as an undisclosed Snapdragon 8 Elite mid-range performance phone. These new devices will be unveiled in the Chinese market following the Chinese New Year or Spring Festival of this year (29th January 2025).

Speaking more, both the Snapdragon 8 Elite (7-core)-powered Find N5 and Dimensity 8400 Ultra-powered Realme Neo 7 SE devices are officially confirmed to launch next month in China, while previous reports also suggest that the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also probably launch in the same month itself. The previous Huawei Pocket 2 smartphone was launched in February 2024 and considering this, its successor – the Huawei Pocket 3 is also being expected to launch in the same time frame this year – in February (or maybe March) 2025 as per previous updates.

Regarding the undisclosed Snapdragon 8 Elite mid-range performance phone, the tech world has two guesses, it could either be the Realme GT 7 or Honor GT Pro. Both these smartphones are believed to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip itself, and the Realme GT 7 was also recently tipped to launch next month in February 2025. However, the Honor GT Pro launch was earlier reported to be in Q2 2025.

More updates can be expected in the coming days, which will reveal more details about these upcoming smartphones and their exact launch dates. Stay tuned until then.

Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 15 series in its home country China last month. While the series hasn’t been launched in global markets yet, we’ve been hearing a lot about the Ultra variant, which is also set to launch in the Chinese as well as global markets. It appears the Ultra variant will be arriving in the Indian market as well, as evidenced by its appearance on the Indian BIS certification.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra BIS

The device has been listed with model number “25010PN30I” and received approval on 20th December 2024. Although the BIS certification doesn’t list the device name, earlier IMEI listings revealed it to be the Indian variant of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The global variant will have a similar model number, with the last letter changed from ‘I’ to ‘G’, while the Chinese variant ends with ‘C’.

In China, the device is expected to come in two variants according to 3C certification – one with dual satellite communication and another with single satellite capability. The model number spotted on 3C for the single satellite communication variant matches the pattern of the Global and Indian variants.

Similar to how the Xiaomi 14 Series launched in India with the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra (with the Pro variant remaining exclusive to the Chinese market), the same pattern appears likely to repeat. Currently, only the Xiaomi 15 has been spotted on both Global and Indian BIS certifications.

Regarding the launch timeline, the device is yet to debut in China. While earlier rumors suggested a January 2025 launch, new information points to a February 2025 release in China. Global and Indian launches will follow afterward.

For reference, the Xiaomi 14 Series launched in India in March 2024, suggesting the Xiaomi 15 Ultra along with Xiaomi 15 might also arrive around March or April in both Indian and Global markets.

Here is what we know so far about the Specs of Xiaomi 15 Ultra

The upcoming smartphone’s internal design CAD renders, and schematic images have been shared online. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 are revealed and expected specifications. The device will feature a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and micro-curved design.

Further, it’s expected to pack a quad rear camera setup featuring 50MP + 50MP + 50MP + 200MP sensors. The smartphone will be powered by a 6000 mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. It will also include an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The rear panel will have multiple finishes, including plain leather, glass, and ceramic materials.
