Based on recent reports, the Cupertino-based tech maker Apple is believed to unveil four new devices early this year in 2025, and these are expected to include the iPhone SE 4, iPad 11, iPad Air 13 (2025), and iPad Air 11 (2025) models.

Via a new update (from Weibo tipster – Experience more), few key details pertaining to the upcoming devices have been shared online, suggesting the processor and design features of some of the above mentioned Apple products. Read more about it below.

iPhone SE 4, iPad 11, iPad Air 13 (2025), and iPad Air 11 (2025) – Revealed Details

As per the source code listings itself, we are able to find the four mentioned Apple devices – ‘iPhone SE (4th Gen)’, ‘iPad (11th Gen)’, ‘iPad Air 13″ (M3)’, and ‘iPad Air 11″ (M3)’, and it has been pointed out that unlike what was previously revealed, the iPad Air 13 (2025) and iPad Air 11 (2025) are probably going to use the brand’s M3 chip and not the M4 chip. [To note, the iPhone SE 4 and iPad 11 are reportedly going to be powered by the A18 processor]

Furthermore, what seems to be the design images of the respective models have also been shared.

Speaking more, a clearer render image of the iPhone SE 4 device (which is said to be called iPhone 16E) has also been shared, and it aligns with the dummy units image that was recently revealed. It is featured in the expected White color choice with a flat rear panel having a single main camera, microphone hole, and LED flashlight placed towards the top-left corner. The Apple logo is also present at the center of the rear panel.

What should be noted is that, the render image suggests that the iPhone SE 4 is also likely going to have a small Dynamic Island, and not the rumored notch design, bringing a unified iPhone design. The display is also revealed to have symmetrical bezels on all four sides. Additionally, the power button can be spotted at the right side panel, whereas the left side panel appears to have an action button and the volume rocker.

About the launch, it could either take place in the month of March or April of 2025, and with more future updates, we will be able to get a better clarity on the launch time frame. Also, all the four devices – iPhone SE 4, iPad 11, iPad Air 13 (2025), and iPad Air 11 (2025) are expected to debut around the same time itself.

As per the dummy units, Apple’s iPhone SE 4, which is said to be renamed as ‘iPhone 16E’, is suggested to feature flat rear and side panels, with rounded corners. However, another recent update pointed out that it would have a metal right-angle middle frame.

Speaking more, as previously noted, the dummy units reveal a single projected camera unit placed at the top-left corner, and at its right, we can also find an additional microphone hole and the LED flashlight. At the sides, antenna lines can be spotted. The power button is on the right side panel, whereas the alert slider, volume rocker, and card tray are present at the left side panel.

Furthermore, the dummy units are featured in Black and White colors, the expected color choices that would be made available for the iPhone SE 4 / iPhone 16E customers.

Based on reports, Apple could be soon launching its next SE model, while another update pointed to a launch only in April 2025, about three months later. The device is believed to appear similar to the iPhone 14 device, with a size similar to the newly-launched iPhone 16, and is reportedly being developed on the iOS 18.3 operating system.

Few of its other revealed/expected specs include the A18 processor, 6GB/8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 6.06″ FHD+ 60Hz LTPS OLED notch display, 48MP main camera, Face ID protection, Apple Intelligence support, no home button, and a waterproof body. Furthermore, the tipster who has shared the update adds that the design of the upcoming iPhone is believed to be similar to the 2022-released iPhone 14, however, earlier updates suggested it to feature a size similar to the 2024-released iPhone 16 model. Moreover, the smartphone is said to have an OLED display panel, possibly with a full screen design (no home button) and notch cutout, along with an action button which is now standard in all the iPhone 16 series models.

From what it seems, it will be arriving as the 5th smartphone of the latest iPhone 16 series.

Apple’s Next SE Model Could be Called ‘iPhone 16e’

This update which has originally come from the Chinese tipster on the Weibo platform – Fixed Focus Digital (received via @ZionsAnvin), points out that unlike the last three generations of iPhone SE models that we have seen respectively in 2016, 2020, and 2022, the fourth generation model may be dropping the ‘SE’ branding and would possibly be named as ‘iPhone 16e’.

This means that the upcoming iPhone model is likely launching under the iPhone 16 series and if this happens, it is going to be the fifth smartphone of the series. Moreover, it was said that the 4th generation iPhone SE model may feature a design similar to the iPhone 14 device with notch cutout at the top, however, the tipster suggests that it will have a size similar to the standard iPhone 16 model and have a full-screen design.

Other expected specifications of the device include Face ID and Apple Intelligence support. The old home button is also expected to be removed from the upcoming iPhone model. Apple’s A18 chip, 6GB/8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 6.06″ display, and a 48MP primary shooter are also being expected. Speaking of the pricing, the device could be priced in between USD 499 and USD 549.

In related news, ITC will be looking into BOE’s infringement of Samsung display patents and would be taking the final decision regarding banning the Chinese display manufacturer from the US in March 2025. If BOE is banned, Apple would be facing difficulties as BOE is the display provider for the next 4th generation iPhone SE.
