Blinkit, has expanded its instant delivery services to include smartphones and feature phones. The announcement came through Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa’s post on X, revealing partnerships with major phone manufacturers for this new service.

The 15-minute delivery service will initially be available in select areas of Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Customers can now order popular models including the Redmi 13 5G, Redmi 14C, iPhone 16, and Nokia 105 through the Blinkit app. To make purchases more accessible, the company is also offering no-cost EMI options on most devices.

“Now get smartphones and feature phones delivered in just 15 minutes!” announced Dhindsa on X. The company plans to significantly expand its smartphone portfolio, with more brands and models to be added to the platform in the near future.

This expansion into smartphone delivery follows Blinkit’s recent venture into emergency services, where the company launched a 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram. That initiative, which aims to provide crucial emergency medical transport, is also planned for expansion to other major cities.

The move represents Blinkit’s continued efforts to diversify its quick commerce offerings beyond groceries and essentials, now entering into high-value electronics with quick delivery promises.

A new 10-minutes food offering app from Blinkit – Bistro has now been introduced, providing users the option to get canteen type food in just ten minutes and delivered hot. As of now, it is live and only available in a few parts of Gurugram, Haryana.

Bistro by Blinkit is an entirely new app that is outside the widely used Blinkit and Zomato application platforms, as he has noted in his X post, and it is a 10-minute offering that is currently only available in Gurugram’s Sector 50, Sector 51, and Sector 62. Users of the new platform will be able to buy high quality and best canteen type of food, and it will be delivered to them hot and good, that too in just 10 minutes, as per what Albinder Dhindsa has claimed for the company.

Speaking more, in attempts to make the venture acceptable among consumers, the brand has partnered with a number of innovative companies in the food industry, and has invested a lot on infrastructure and R&D. It aims to create and offer tasty dishes, made in 5 minutes or less, at the same time without the use of any preservatives or food processors during preparation. Moreover, these dishes also won’t be microwaved nor will they be processed food. Thus, the company believes that more can be drawn to ‘outside of home’ food, that is of good quality and healthy, as well as which are easily accessible.

As mentioned, this service is currently live across only the few aforementioned areas of Gurugram in Haryana, and this will eventually help the brand to explore and find out the market fit of the new service, as per what has been shared. This might be a piece of good news, as Blinkit has now launched a new service through which you can order an Ambulance in India, and that too with a 10-minute TAT. This news came directly from the X account of Blinkit’s CEO Albinder Dhindsa. The company has launched this service in the Gurugram region only, which comes under Delhi NCR. Currently, they have a fleet of 5 ambulances which will start working from January 2nd, 2025. Though being limited to just one region, Albinder confirms that they will soon be scaling this service as well to other regions.

As per him, the turnaround time of these ambulances will be around 10 minutes. But we all know what the traffic conditions are. However, it is definitely a good initiative. Additionally, he states that profit is not the goal here, and the company wants to provide this service at an affordable price. Plus, the ambulance will have a paramedic staff, a trained driver, and an assistant. These ambulances will be equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), a stretcher, a monitor, a suction machine, and essential emergency medicines and injections. They don’t support neonatal or ventilator care.

He further mentions their aim is to expand this service to all major cities in the next two years. They didn’t specify the exact amount, but as per the screenshot shared, it will have a flat Rs. 2,000 fee. Let’s hope this service will benefit many patients who need ambulance service on an urgent basis.

Sony’s best audio gear- earbuds, speakers, headphones, and wired earphones are now available via Blinkit. On searching on the Blinkit app, I found several Sony audio products listed that are available for purchase via the platform.

Consumers in India can now get these Sony audio devices delivered to their doorsteps in just 10 minutes without the hustle of going to a Sony store or waiting for the device to be delivered in 2-3 days on ordering from other shopping platforms.

Buyers can purchase these audio devices by availing EMI option (on orders above Rs 2,999) as well. This EMI facility was officially introduced on Blinkit last month.

However the EMI option will only be applicable on orders above Rs.2,999 while orders that contain gold and silver coins will not have the EMI payment option. As per the CEO, this new feature will increase affordability and enable better financial planning for the customers.
