Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event will be taking place tomorrow and in this particular event, Samsung is expected to unveil its latest Galaxy S25 flagship series and a few other devices. Previously it was rumored that the brand may release the One UI 7 official version at this particular event but as per a recent update by official beta moderators, One UI 7 Beta 4 is currently under works and the next update won’t be the stable version update (for the Galaxy S24 series).

Seems like Samsung needs to polish One UI 7 more for a better user experience as the brand has officially revealed in a press release that they are planning to supplement user feedback obtained via the beta program into One UI 7 and it will be released in Q1 of this year, probably by the end of February or March 2025. Also if everything goes according to plan, it will be first rolled out to the Galaxy S series and then later on to other Galaxy devices.

The South Korean tech giant Samsung recently rolled out One UI 7 Beta 3 update to Galaxy S23 series and now the brand is said to soon release Beta 4 update for the series (if finalized). Two days back, the official server for Galaxy S24 has been updated with a new One UI 7 build version (BYA4), it was revealed by tipster @tarunvats33 that this version may be released by the end of next month.

Same tipster has now revealed a new One UI 7 build (YA4) has also been uploaded to the server for Galaxy S23 Ultra. The firmware build version is S918BXXU7DYA4/S918BOXM7DYA4/S918BXXU7DYA4.

If you notice the build version is similar to Galaxy S24 build recently spotted (BYA4) and as revealed by the tipster this same build version is for Galaxy S25 as well. No further details are revealed but this new found information has increased the anticipations that this could mean One UI 7 is closer to Galaxy S23 series. Though we do need to wait for an official update to know whether these anticipations are real or not.

One UI 7 official version release is said to take place with Galaxy S25 series at Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event that will be held on 22^nd January.

As per the new update, the first One UI 7 test build of Samsung’s soon-to-be-unveiled Galaxy S25 Slim device with model number – ‘SM-S937B’ have been spotted, in Europe, UAE, India, and few other Asian countries. The firmware build version is also revealed to be ‘S937BXXU0AYA5/ S937BOXM0AYA5/ S937BXXU0AYA5’.

Speaking more, we have already come across many updates concerning both the Galaxy S25 Slim model as well as the One UI 7 custom skin. Currently, the One UI 7 beta 3 program for the Galaxy S24 series is ongoing, and a new One UI 7 beta 4 update will also be rolled out for the eligible devices. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and is said to offer strong camera specs in a thin and light-weight body. Moreover, a recent update also suggested its thickness to come in between 5.x mm – 6.x mm, however, it may only pack a battery backup ranging in between 3000 mAh – 4000 mAh±.

Speaking more, the firmware build version is revealed to be ‘S928BXXU4BYA4/ S928BOXM4BYA4/ S928BXXU4BYA4’. The tipster @tarunvats33 who has shared this news also notes that the release of this version is likely not to take place soon, and furthermore in the comment adds that it may only be released at the end of next month in February 2025.

As of now, the One UI 7 beta 3 program is ongoing for the Galaxy S24 series users, and users will probably have to wait for a while to receive the next One UI 7 beta 4 update (if finalized) as suggested above. The beta moderators have also added that the development is currently taking place and any official update concerning the release will be informed to users via the Samsung Members app.

Based on the official update, it is now confirmed that there is indeed a One UI 7 beta 4 version in works and that the next update won’t be the stable version update (for the Galaxy S24 series).

It has been further added that the development team is currently working on the One UI 7 beta 4 version, refining and optimizing the user experience, therefore the release schedule cannot be confirmed yet. The official update regarding the release is suggested to be shared via the Samsung Members app, and the beta moderators have asked to keep a keen eye on the official announcements.

This was initially pointed out by the tipster @tarunvats33 who has been sharing a lot about the One UI 7 custom skin, and it seems in his Galaxy S24 model, the battery charge consumed in 9 hours 55 minutes is 85%. Following the tipster’s X post, other Galaxy S24 series users have also shared their experience of how the battery drain issue is troubling them with some users getting a battery life of as low as 3 or 4 hours of total battery life. Additionally, a few users have also shared their charging patterns, revealing that they had to charge at least three times to get through the day.

The tipster has also further commented that the current battery condition of a user’s Galaxy S24 series device running on One UI 7 beta 3 version is really bad, whereas another X user asked him to report this on the forum so that it gets rectified on the final version.

As suggested, Samsung is soon going to conduct its next and first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year and it is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of January 2025. The One UI 7 official version will be released alongside the Galaxy S25 series flagships. As mentioned, while the Galaxy M15 5G may not get any beta updates, the official stable version of the One UI 7 custom skin is now confirmed to be rolled out to the device, as per the brand’s roll-out schedule.

Just to add, the tipster who has shared this update has also pointed out in the comments section that the Galaxy M35 5G device will also be receiving the One UI 7 official stable version, possibly in the month of March 2025.

On top of these, few more features or upgrades have been brought to One UI 7 beta 3 as mentioned above.

The One UI Home has now been updated from version ‘16.0.00.203’ to version ‘16.0.03.21’.
