The South Korean smartphone makers, Samsung, seems to be planning on releasing the first 5G model not just in the Galaxy A0x series, but also in the Galaxy F0x and Galaxy M0x series as well. This is because, the upcoming Galaxy A06 5G, Galaxy F06 5G, and Galaxy M06 5G models have made it to the Bluetooth SIG certification database.

Galaxy A06 5G, Galaxy F06 5G, and Galaxy M06 5G Models – Bluetooth SIG Listing

The Galaxy A06 5G with model numbers of ‘SM-A066B’, ‘SM-A066M/DS’, ‘SM-A066M’, ‘SM-A066E/DS’, and ‘SM-A066B/DS’; Galaxy F06 5G with the model number of ‘SM-E066B/DS’; and the Galaxy M06 5G with the model number of ‘SM-M066B/DS’, have been certified by the Bluetooth SIG authority and their monikers have been mentioned. These models have also been categorized as mobile phones supporting multi-band 2G/3G/4G/5G network, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Looking at previous updates, these Galaxy A06 5G, Galaxy F06 5G, and Galaxy M06 5G models have previously received certifications from the Wi-Fi Alliance and Nemko certification authorities too. Moreover, the Galaxy A06 5G was spotted on the FCC certification platform of the United States a few days back, as well as on India’s BIS database.

A few of the key details revealed include Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz and 5GHz support (also 5.8 GHz for Galaxy A06 as per FCC), dual SIM tray, and USB type-C charging interface. The FCC-listed Galaxy A06 5G is also pointed out to have Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and pack a 5000 mAh battery (same as its 4G counterpart). Also to add, the Galaxy A06 5G schematic image on the FCC database revealed a rectangular-shaped vertically-placed rear camera module too.

The South Korean smartphone maker, Samsung, has already unveiled the Galaxy A06 (4G) model, and the first 5G A0x series device – the Galaxy A06 5G is soon expected to have its launch. We have previously spotted the upcoming device on multiple certification platforms and now, it has been listed on the FCC database as well. Via the FCC listing, a few of its key specs and schematic design image have also been revealed.

Galaxy A06 5G – FCC Certification

Two models of the Galaxy A06 5G device have been listed on the FCC database with model numbers – ‘SM-A066M’ and ‘SM-A066M/DS’, where ‘DS’ stands for ‘Dual SIM tray’. The two Galaxy A06 5G models have been certified by the FCC authority with the FCC ID of ‘ZCASMA066M’.

Speaking of its revealed key specs, this Galaxy smartphone is notably pointed out to support 2G/3G/4G/5G network, Wi-Fi 5 (2.4GHz/5GHz/5.8GHz bandwidth), and Bluetooth 5.3 (EDR + BLE5) connectivity. Moreover, the smartphone is also revealed to pack a battery with the model number – ‘HQ-7160NA’. This is said to be the same battery that was used in its 4G counterpart, suggesting that the 5G model will also offer a 5000 mAh battery backup.

Other basic specs include GPS/Galileo location positioning systems, FM, MP3, MP4, Camera, USB, and external memory support. Furthermore, a certification declaration also mentions that Kaspersky cyber-security and/or anti virus software and integrated Kaspersky Lab, Inc. are not present on the device.

Coming to the schematic design image, Samsung in the past have been using a three/two individual circular vertically-placed rear camera module on its smartphone models, however, few of its upcoming models are already suggested to come with a new pill-shaped vertically-placed camera module featuring circular camera units inside of it. But unlike these, based on the FCC-listed schematic design image, the Galaxy A06 5G is revealed to sport a rectangular-shaped rear camera module, positioned at the top-left corner. The schematic image doesn’t reveal anything about the lens arrangements nor any other particular design aspects. Likely, the flat rear panel and side panels with rounded edges may be retained.

Apart from the FCC certification, the Galaxy A06 5G has also received the Wi-Fi Alliance, Nemko, and BIS certifications. It has also been listed on the IMEI database as well. Since Samsung’s Galaxy A06 5G device has made its appearance on these many certification databases, including the recent listing on the FCC database, the launch of the device can be expected to be quite near. Four Galaxy A06 5G models with model numbers of ‘SM-A066B’, ‘SM-A066M’, ‘SM-A066M/DS’, and ‘SM-A066E/DS’ have received the Wi-Fi Alliance certification with certification IDs of ‘WFA133979’, ‘WFA133982’, ‘WFA133983’, and ‘WFA133984’, respectively. The Galaxy F06 and Galaxy M06 devices carrying respective model numbers of ‘SM-E066B/DS’ and ‘SM-M066B/DS’ have been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance authority with the certification IDs of ‘WFA133985’ and ‘WFA133986’.

Speaking of the revealed specs, all the above mentioned upcoming Galaxy smartphone models are pointed out to support WiFi 5, WPA2 & WPA3 Enterprise/Personal security, and 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz dual band support.

As mentioned, all of these Galaxy smartphone models have also been certified by the Nemko authority, while the Galaxy A06 5G (SM-A066B/DS) was listed on the BIS database of India too. Moreover, the Galaxy A06 5G models – ‘SM-A066B/DS’ and ‘SM-A066M/DS’ were spotted on the IMEI database few months back, which had initially revealed Samsung’s big move to introduce the first 5G smartphone in the budget A0x series.

It is the next Galaxy A0x series, Galaxy F0x series, and Galaxy M0x series models that have appeared on the Nemko certification platform. The A06 5G model carries the model numbers – ‘SM-A066B’, ‘SM-A066B/DS’, ‘SM-A066M’, ‘SM-A066M/DS’, and ‘SM-A066E/DS’. On the other hand, the Galaxy F06 and Galaxy M06 devices bear respective model numbers of ‘SM-E066B/DS’ and ‘SM-M066B/DS’.

These new Galaxy budget devices have received the Nemko certification with the certificate number – ‘NO132998’ and have been categorized under the ‘Smart Phone’ section. Furthermore, the certification also points out that the upcoming smartphones would possibly feature a USB Type-C charging port. Also, ‘DS’ in the model numbers suggest dual SIM support on the models.

Galaxy A06 5G – BIS Certification

The Galaxy A06 5G model with model number – ‘SM-A066B/DS’ has been certified by the BIS authority of India. It has received the grant or inclusion on to the BIS database as of on the 17th of December 2024.

Just to add, the Galaxy A06 5G is reportedly going to be the very first 5G supported smartphone in the Galaxy A0x series (via the GSMA IMEI listings), marking Samsung’s move to introduce 5G network connectivity too to its affordable and budget-friendly range of smartphones.

Apart from these mentioned details, there are no other details or information known about the upcoming Galaxy A06 5G, Galaxy F06, and Galaxy M06 smartphone models. We’ll probably have to wait until more updates are shared, which will probably reveal more about these devices. Stay tuned.

Samsung, the South Korean tech makers, following the August 2024 debut of the Galaxy A06 smartphone is revealed to soon unveil its 5G version. The upcoming device has now been spotted on the GSMA IMEI database.

Samsung Galaxy A06 5G – GSMA IMEI Listing

Samsung’s Galaxy A06 5G will be arriving as the first 5G connectivity supported smartphone of the brand’s budget-friendly Galaxy A0X series, and is likely to be offered with similar specs at a slightly higher price point when compared with its 4G counterpart. Based on the exclusive report via Gizmochina, the Galaxy A06 5G has been spotted on the GSMA IMEI database with two model numbers – ‘SM-A066B/DS’ and ‘SM-A066M/DS’. From the model numbers, we can understand that the upcoming device will be featuring dual SIM support, and since it will be a 5G device, a 5G processor will be used instead of the MediaTek Helio G85 chip present on the Galaxy A06 4G model.

An exact launch date for the Galaxy A06 5G has not yet been revealed yet, but it can be announced soon. With more future updates, we may be able to confirm more about the smartphone, however, as mentioned above, the specifications and design of the smartphone may show some similarities with the already launched Galaxy A06 4G model.
