Sunday nights in Chestertown = QUIET.
This is an understatement. Many of our guests at Brampton Inn are shocked at the lack of foot traffic in town after say, 3pm on a Sunday. Imagine their surprise when I tell them they will have to have an early dinner or go hungry, because most restaurants are either closed or have shortened hours on Sunday. So, our recommendations for Sunday night dinner are necessarily influenced by which restaurants are open.
NOT SO, in the case of The Kitchen at Rock Hall. We LOVE this place and so do all the guests who have eaten there so far. We only wish they were open every day. Sorry Steve and Monica (the owners), but you are really doing something right!!
The simple name is perfect for this great new-ish place (they opened in April). Excellent food, prepared with style but not fuss. Terrific value, beer and wine license, friendly service and homemade everything.
But the very best part? Not only are they are open on Sunday: they STAY OPEN UNTIL 9PM!! This is incredible….
So if you are visiting our Chestertown Bed and Breakfast on a Sunday night, don’t worry about dinner. The Kitchen will have you covered.
