Samsung Tipped To Be Working On XCover 7 Pro Rugged Smartphone; Likely Be Powered By Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC
Samsung officially unveiled its rugged phone- Galaxy XCover 7 in January 2024 in both Indian and global markets. And now a new report by Android Authority reveals that the smartphone brand has been working on a new XCover 7 Pro rugged phone.
The publication has spotted codes from reliable sources which indicates that the smartphone is currently under work. While a particular code string revealed that the smartphone will be powered by SoC that carries model number SM7635- Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 which made its debut in August 2024.
Since a new chipset is being used in the device, it is said that Samsung could still be working on this smartphone and may launch the device in the near future. We will have to wait for more updates or an official announcement to know more about this upcoming device.

The device features a 6.6-inch TFT display that offers FHD+ screen resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate. It arrives with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. It is powered by a 6nm Octa-core processor that is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It runs on Android 14 OS.
The smartphone is backed by a 4050mAh removable battery that supports 15W charging. It arrives with a Pogo pin for charging (no charger in the box). It packs up a 50MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Connectivity options include- 5G, eSIM, dual SIM, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB-C, and a 3.5mm jack. Other features are a side fingerprint sensor, XCover Key, Dolby Atmos, IP68 rating, and MIL-STD 810H shockproof. The device is built to withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters. There are two editions- Standard and Enterprise.
