Xiaomi’s Redmi A5 Spotted on FCC Database; Also to Arrive Re-branded as POCO C71
The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi, is reportedly in the works to launch a new Redmi budget device for its customers, and it has now made it to the FCC certification platform. Moreover, this Redmi smartphone is also believed to arrive as a re-branded POCO device too.

Redmi A5 – FCC Certification; Re-branded POCO C71
The Redmi A5 smartphone bearing the model number of ‘25028RN03L’ has appeared on the FCC database, and it has received the certification with the FCC ID – ‘2AFZZRN03L’. It is suggested to be a 5G supported device, and will also support Wi-Fi 5 with dual band connectivity as well as Bluetooth. Android 15 (possibly with HyperOS 2.0 on top) will also be offered out of the box as per the listing. Additionally, the available storage options for the Redmi A5 model have also been revealed. Customers may be able to get it in 3GB/64GB, 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB options.
Furthermore, according to a XiaomiTime report, Xiaomi is also said to launch its Redmi A5 re-packaged as the POCO C71 smartphone too (and not POCO M7 4G as shared by older updates). Both these models, even though being entry-level devices, would likely be offering decent performance, display, camera, NFC-option, and a compact build at a reasonable and affordable pricing. Also, the different model numbers for the Redmi A5 and POCO C71 in various markets have also been shared.
