Winter in Maryland : Relaxing March Getaways

We heard the other day that a record number of airline flights have been cancelled this past winter due to snow and ice storms; more than any other winter since this sort of thing has been tracked.  Which is why it’s always nice to be able to have a getaway planned that’s within driving distance of your home.  As long as the roads are still passable, we are ready to welcome you to our Maryland bed and breakfast!

March has come in with a roar this year, and can be a very unpredictable month.  Who knows what’s in store weather-wise these next few weeks?  More snow is on the way later this week, but that just might be followed by sun and higher temperatures shortly afterwards.

The beginning of March also brings with it our late winter/early spring special rates.  Now through April 10, 2014, the published rates for all the rooms and cottages are already discounted! A great excuse to come enjoy winter in Maryland!

Another fun fact about March:   it’s typically our quietest month of the year, so you might be the only couple here if you travel mid-week.  How much fun would that be??  Returning guests Chris and Anne had that experience this week.  Imagine the quiet and peaceful time they had. . .

Snowshoeing:

Having a soak outdoors even though it’s below freezing:

Enjoying a freshly made breakfast, exclusively for them:

So why don’t you take a cue from March and be unpredictable?  Book a last minute, so long winter, hello spring getaway.  You’ll really be glad you did.
